Free trial:
14 days, and no card needed. Nothing is charged unless you choose to buy.
When your tree is full:
you'll see how many people you have ("192 of 200"). When it's full, adding stops and we'll show you how to grow — upgrade, or remove some people. Nothing is ever shrunk or locked.
Upgrading — only pay for what you use.
Keep your renewal date and pay just for the months you have left; or start a fresh 12 months today – and get a 13th month on us, as a thank-you for growing with us. Your unused months are taken off too. With 3 months or fewer left, the fresh 12 months is the way to upgrade.

*Each person's skins are just for them. They don't change the tree for anyone else. Includes every skin we add in future. One payment, never a yearly charge. "Forever" means for as long as you have a login.

Changed your mind?
Full refund within 14 days of any payment, renewals included. Your tree simply goes back to the free plan — the owner and the 199 closest stay open, and the rest is kept safely for 12 months in case you come back. If you take a refund again within 12 months, you'll get your money back less the days you've used. After 14 days we don't refund part of a year, unless the law says we must – but everything stays yours until your year ends.
Card disputes and misuse:
if a card dispute is lost, or the tree is misused, the tree closes after 30 days — time to download it or pass it to someone on it. We keep a short record (name, email, payment reference, date) for 12 months.
Refunds
go back to the card or payment method you used, within 14 days. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.

If your renewal price is going to change, we'll email you at least 30 days before, so you can decide whether to carry on.
Stopping renewal:
turn it off in Settings any time up to the day before it renews.
No fee to cancel:
cancel any time – no fee, ever. You've paid for your year, so you keep everything until it ends. Then take your whole tree with you, or carry on free with you and your 199 closest; everyone else is kept safe for 12 months in case you come back.
Gift cards:
an unused gift card can be refunded to the person who bought it within 14 days.
Free trial:
one per person.
Downloading your tree:
the tree's owner can download the whole tree at any time, even after a membership ends.
Renewal:
your membership renews automatically every year – when you pay, you tick to agree to that. We'll email you 30, 14 and 7 days before, with the price, and that's all: we never chase. You can renew early any time, or turn renewal off in Settings.
If a payment doesn't go through:
everything carries on for 14 days, and everyone on the tree sees a countdown so the family knows. After that the tree goes back to the free 200 people — the owner and the 199 closest to them stay open, and the rest is kept safely for 12 months. Renewing brings everything back straight away.
The family pot and Chip in:
anyone on a tree can chip in towards it (from £5 / $5 / €5, then any whole amount). Everyone on the tree can see the running total, and anything over rolls on to next year. The pot is used first at renewal, then the owner's card. Money in the pot stays with the tree; it isn't refunded after 14 days. Two months before renewal, the owner is asked whether to invite the family to chip in – nothing is shown to the family unless the owner says yes. The owner can also switch on Promises: a promise to chip in is seen only by the owner and the person who promised.
Codes and gift cards:
coupon or discount codes, gift codes and referral codes all go in the same box. Every code shows its end date. A gift card code must be used within 2 years; once added, its value never expires.
Payments
are handled by Stripe — card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and PayPal in the UK and US. For buyers in the EU, Stripe's Link is the seller and handles the VAT. We never see or store your card number.
If the owner goes quiet:
someone on the tree can keep it going by chipping in, or ask to look after it (see Terms §9).
